Just outside Oschner Park in Baraboo is one of the oldest highway markers I have ever seen. |
It doesn't have a date on it, but it must have been installed in the early '20s before there were US highways. |

This style of wood post and cable protective barrier was very common on Wisconsin roads when I was growing up. This particular one survives in western Dane County. |
